Florida’s freight future is bright! Please see below for some of the latest updates on freight and logistics in Florida. Big things are happening, and we couldn’t have done it without our agency and industry partners. Thanks for your continued engagement in this process!

Our Partner Workforce Florida Inc. and President/CEO Chris Hart IV announced a $2 million Quick Response Training (QRT) Challenge Grant during the Florida Logistics & Trade Conference, held in Miami on May 16-17, 2013. This grant is available to employers in Florida's logistics and trade industry to support job creation and growth. The goal of the grant is to help existing companies in the state's logistics and trade sector meet their training needs in order to enhance the competitiveness of the companies.

Each of FDOT’s District Offices will be involved in the coordination process with Workforce Florida and local Economic Development Offices (EDO) to better understand and plan for the growing needs of these regions. For additional information, including the press release and responses to Frequently Asked Questions, view the announcement on www.FreightMovesFlorida.com.
