Cultivating and supporting a culture of multimodal safety in the Sarasota/Manatee region through public education and engagement is an MPO priority. In May 2024, the MPO completed an Education Implementation Plan. In implementing this plan, the MPO aims to increase public awareness of the factors related to fatal and serious injury crashes and the strategies that Destination Zero uses to reduce these types of crashes in our area.
