NOTIFICATION IS GIVEN that on September 20, 2023, the Sarasota Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board (LCB) Meeting will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Sarasota/Manatee MPO Office located at 8100 15th Street East, Sarasota, Florida 34243.

PUBLIC COMMENT: Meeting materials and information regarding technology and access will be posted to the MPO website at www.mympo.org on Friday, September 8, 2023.

There are five (5) ways for the public to participate:

  1. In person at the Sarasota LCB meeting, by filling out a comment card.
  2. Written comments will be accepted before, during, and after each meeting. All written comments will be included as part of the official public record of the meeting. Draft Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) now Available for Public Review and Comment

Each year the Sarasota/Manatee MPO updates the 5 Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The new Draft TIP for FY 2023/24—2027/28 is now available for public review and comment.

If you would like to download the TIP, please visit the MPO Website by following this link: https://www.mympo.org/our-work/mpo-plans/tip or you can go to the “Our Work” page on the MPO Website, select MPO Plans, and click Transportation Improvement Program, then select Draft 2023 TIP.

Background: The process to develop the 2023/24-2027/28 TIP started on February 28, 2022, when the MPO Board adopted its 2022 Project Priority List. That list was forwarded to FDOT to prepare its Draft Tentative Five-Year Work Program which includes roadway improvements, transportation alternatives, bridge, safety, and public transportation projects (i.e. transit, aviation, port, intermodal, and transportation disadvantaged program projects).

The TIP will be presented at upcoming committee meetings on May 8th and will be presented to the MPO Board at their next MPO Board meeting on May 22, 2023. The TIP must be submitted to FDOT by July 15, 2023.

There are five (5) ways for the public to participate:
