NOTIFICATION IS GIVEN that the Sarasota/Manatee MPO Board will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn, 8009 15th Street East, Sarasota, Florida 34243. Meeting Materials and information regarding technology and access will be posted to the MPO website at www.mympo.org on Friday, October 21, 2022.

There are five (5) ways for the public to participate:

1. In person at the MPO Board Meeting by filling out a comment card.
2. Written comments will be accepted before, during, and after the meeting. All written comments will be included as part of the official public record of the meeting. Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) now Available for Public Review and Comment

Each year the Sarasota/Manatee MPO updates the 5 Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The new Draft TIP for FY 2022/23—2026/27 is now available for public review and comment. 

To access and download the new Draft 2022 TIP, go to https://www.mympo.org/m/mandates/tip. Or, CLICK HERE for a direct download.

The draft TIP will be presented at upcoming committee meetings on May 9th and to the MPO Board at their next MPO Board meeting on May 23, 2022. The TIP must be submitted to FDOT by July 15, 2022.

NOTIFICATION IS GIVEN that the Sarasota/Manatee MPO will hold a Public Transportation Task Force Meeting on Monday, February 28, 2021 at 8:15 a.m. in the Conference Room at the Sarasota/Manatee MPO, 8100 15th Street East, Sarasota, Florida 34243. Meeting Materials will be posted to the MPO website at www.mympo.org on Friday, February 18, 2022.

 

Public Comment: This notice is published pursuant to the requirements of the Federal Laws, Florida Statutes, and MPO Policy. No stenographic record by a certified court reporter is made of this meeting. Accordingly, any person who may seek to appeal any decisions involving the matter noticed herein will be responsible for making a verbatim record of the testimony and evidence at this meeting upon which any appear is to be based.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. Persons who require special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should contact the Sarasota/Manatee MPO at 941-359-5772 at least seven (7) days prior to the meeting.

NOTIFICATION IS GIVEN that the Sarasota/Manatee MPO Board will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at the Sarasota/Manatee MPO, 8100 15th Street East, Sarasota, Florida 34243. Meeting Materials and information regarding technology and access will be posted to the MPO website at www.mympo.org on Friday, February 18, 2022.

There are five (5) ways for the public to participate:

  1. In person at the MPO Board Meeting by filling out a comment card.
  2. Written comments will be accepted before, during, and after the meeting. All written comments will be included as part of the official public record of the meeting.   3. The MPO Board meeting will be live streamed on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. The public can view the meeting and comment during the meeting using the comment box at https://publicinput.com/Q742.

  5. For those wishing to address members of the Sarasota/Manatee MPO directly, you are requested to provide a written request in advance. Please provide the following information in the email:

    2. Please include the following information in the body of the email: 1) Name, email, and phone number; 2) The agenda item you wish to address; 3) A summary of your public comment (3000-character limit)
    3. Following the receipt of the email, instructions will be sent on how to join the virtual meeting to speak once the Chair calls on you during the public comment period.

The MPO rules of procedure, decorum, and policy governing the public comment period, shall be followed, and enforced in the same manner as if the meeting were held in person. During the public comment period, the Chair will ask the public to speak based on the written requests to speak in the order they are received.

Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is Available for Public Review and Comment

Each year the Sarasota/Manatee MPO updates the 5 Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The new Draft TIP for FY 2021/22—2025/26 is now available for public review and comment. Visit the following link to provide comments on the Interactive TIP here: https://publicinput.com/X7478. To comment on projects, just click on the location or project, write your comment, and then click submit.

If you would like to download the TIP, please visit our Library page on the MPO Website, select Transportation Improvement Program, and then select Draft 2021 TIP.  Visit the MPO Website by following this link: https://www.mympo.org/documents-library.

The TIP will be presented at upcoming committee meetings on May 10th and will be presented to the MPO Board at their next MPO Board meeting on May 24, 2021. The TIP must be submitted to FDOT by July 15, 2021.
