MetroQuest_SR70 MetroQuest Survey for Lakewood Ranch Residents

District 1 of the Florida Department of Transportation is developing a vision and action plan for the future of State Road 70. We’ve extended the Lakewood Ranch survey and the SR 70 Corridor Survey until July 6th to give residents a chance to provide their input.

We invite you to take two brief surveys: one about the corridor as a whole and one particular to the community most pertinent to you.

As a main connection between the east and gulf coasts of the state, the corridor supports a significant amount of interregional travel as well as freight and goods movement. The corridor also serves local functions in 5 communities in the Florida Heartland, including Lakewood Ranch, Myakka City, Arcadia, Lake Placid, and Okeechobee. The vision for the corridor will incorporate both corridor and community purposes and contexts, which is why there is a survey for the overall corridor and for each community.

Your expertise, feedback, and ideas will help shape and inform the design and development of an integrated land use and transportation vision for the project corridor, guiding future multi-modal transportation investments and complementary land use policies.

We also invite you to share this survey with your contacts, so that the feedback informing the vision plan is as community-sourced as possible.
