Scenarios-Workshop Choices: Scenario Planning Workshop

Transform Tomorrow
Choose the future of transportation for Manatee and Sarasota Counties

Sarasota/Manatee, FL -- The Sarasota/Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), in partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), invites the public to join elected officials, technical professionals, and members of the community to be a part of Choices: Scenario Planning Workshop held on October 21, 2019, 8:15 – 11:30 AM, at Manatee Technical College, Wagner Auditorium, 6305 E State Road 70, Bradenton, FL 34203. Registration is now open. RSVP here https://2045choices.eventbrite.com

Participants will listen to the results of the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) survey and how the responses were used to create future scenarios, learn about competing scenarios and explore the differences and how they will impact the future of transportation, and choose the future they want to see. This event is free and open to the public.

The purpose of the 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is to develop future transportation facilities in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. The LRTP must consider the full complement of transportation modes – roads, bicycles, pedestrians, trails, transit, parking, railroads and airports. The plan includes at least twenty years and must be updated every five years. Keynote speakers were selected to engage you with a thought-provoking program to share their expertise on unique scenarios.
