The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is holding a Public Meeting for the 10th Avenue Complete Streets Study from Riverside Drive to 17th Street West, in Manatee County. We invite you to attend the meeting anytime between 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Woman’s Club of Palmetto, 910 6th Street West, Palmetto, Florida 34221. We’ve included a project location map with the meeting location below for your reference.

The meeting will be an open house format. Attendees may review project displays, aerial photographs, and speak one-on-one with project team members about the proposed complete streets improvements to 10th Avenue, such as narrower travel lanes, wider sidewalks, bicycle lanes, enhanced transit stops, reconfigured on-street parking, traffic calming measures and storm water control.

FDOT is sending notices to all property owners at least 300 feet on either side of the 10th Avenue project limits and other interested parties. FDOT welcomes and appreciates the community’s participation in the project. The meeting gives everyone an opportunity to express their views about the proposed complete streets improvements. The property owner notification is attached for your information.
