On February 28, 2022, the MPO Board adopted Destination Zero: the Sarasota / Manatee Path to Zero Fatalities and Serious Injuries. The Action Plan includes lots of data and recommendations on how to reach zero roadway fatalities and serious injuries by 2045. One recommendation of this Action Plan was the creation of the Destination Zero Advisory Group (DZAG).

DZAG is an advisory group to facilitate the implentation of the Destination Zero Action Plan. It exists to help local jurisdictions adopt their own, tailor made versions of our region-wide plan. DZAG is made up of safety, transportation, and engineering professionals from the MPO's jurisdictional partners. 

DZAG meetings are usually held virtually. In-person meetings are held at 10:00 AM in the main conference room at the MPO Office located at 5460 63rd St E, Suite A, Bradenton, FL 34203.
