At the June 25, 2007 meeting of the Sarasota/Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), Board action was taken at an advertised Public Hearing to amend the 2030 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). 
 
The Amendment was made to identify as Financially Feasible the Project Development and Environmental (PD&E) Study phase for the Port Manatee Connector. This is the only phase of the project made Financially Feasible. 
 
The cost of the PD&E Study is $3,800,000 and is funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
